PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network (formerly the Associated Landscape Contractors of America or ALCA), is a trade association which promotes business management skills and the profitability of its members' businesses. PLANET recognizes that the professional landscape contracting business is continually evolving and extremely competitive. PLANET provides its members with a good business foundation to help them evaluate, plan and better manage their businesses. Member firms have direct access to marketing tools, industry specific business publications and business experts who can assist companies in becoming more profitable.

The Plantscape Industry Alliance is a strong organization of interior landscapers in the US and Canada eager to improve the quality of business in our industry. Their annual conference and tradeshow is held at the end of August alternating between northern and southern California.

Green Plants for Green Buildings (GPGB) has online resources and research articles promoting the use of plants to create a healthier workplace and home environment.
